The short version. Slumbr does not collect your personal information. The app has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and it does not send your data to us or to anyone else. Your mix and settings stay on your iPhone.

Who we are

Slumbr is an iPhone app published by Blaze8 Software (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Slumbr app and this website, slumbr-app.com. You can reach us at support@slumbr-app.com.

What the app collects

Nothing. We do not collect, receive or have access to any personal information from the Slumbr app. It has no accounts or sign-in, it does not connect to any server of ours, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software.

Slumbr does not use your microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos, health data or any other personal information on your iPhone. It only plays sound.

What stays on your iPhone

To work the way you expect, the app saves a few settings in its own private storage on your iPhone:

  • Your mix: the white, pink and brown noise levels.
  • Your volume, sleep timer length, and whether the sound fades out or stops when the timer ends.
  • Whether you have finished the first-run walkthrough.
  • Whether sound is going to the iPhone speaker or to a wireless output such as Bluetooth or AirPlay. Only that label is saved, not the name or identifier of any device.
  • The time you last used the app, so it can start your saved mix when you open it after being away for 8 hours or more.
  • Whether you have unlocked Slumbr Pro.
  • A count of how many times the app has come to the foreground, and whether the one-time suggestion of Slumbr Pro has been shown, so it is shown only once.

This information never leaves your iPhone through the app, and we cannot see it. Backups of your iPhone that you make, such as iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer, may include it, depending on your device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

Purchases

Slumbr Pro is bought through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and manages your purchase under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your name, your Apple ID or your payment details. The app asks Apple on your iPhone whether you own Slumbr Pro, and when you tap Restore Purchases it asks Apple to sync your purchases.

As the app’s publisher, we can see aggregated sales and download reports from Apple. We cannot use them to identify individual customers.

Siri and Shortcuts

You can ask Siri to start Slumbr. Apple handles your voice request under Apple’s own privacy practices. Slumbr only receives the instruction to start playing your saved mix.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not load scripts or fonts from other companies. Like any website, the service that hosts it may automatically log standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the message you send. We use them only to reply and to keep a record of your request. We do not use them for marketing.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or give it to third parties. The only other company involved when you use Slumbr is Apple, for purchases and for Siri, as described above.

How long we keep information, and how to delete it

  • App settings. They exist only on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes them from your iPhone. If they are in a backup of your iPhone, you can delete that backup in your device settings.
  • Purchases. Apple keeps your purchase history. Manage it through your Apple account.
  • Emails to us. We keep them for as long as we need them to help you. To have them deleted, email support@slumbr-app.com and we will delete them.

Because the app does not collect your personal information, there is no consent to withdraw and no account or server data for us to delete.

Children

Slumbr does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, and the CCPA in California, may give you the right to see, correct or delete personal information that a company holds about you. We do not hold personal information about you through the app. If you have emailed us, we hold that email, and you can ask us to show it to you or delete it at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If we ever change the app so that it collects information, we will update this policy before that version is released.
